In her career as a board certified psychiatrist, Dr. Judith began to notice a form of depression that was often falling under the radar, and one that she was suffering from herself – high functioning depression – a type of depression where one might be motivated and productive at work, pulling their weight at home, and conducting a normal social life, but behind that façade they are barely surviving, and certainly not thriving.
Dr. Judith’s studies on high functioning depression have given a face to this invisible form of depression, and serve as the foundation of her upcoming book, High Functioning: Overcome Your Hidden Depression and Reclaim Your Joy.
