It’s easier to look past makeup and hair products when we’re getting beautifying benefits the natural way. Read on to find out which natural products will give you a major beauty boost, leaving you feeling confidently healthy and beautiful, without a stitch of makeup!
Learn about 5 products that will leave you with a healthy glow.
Honey: Used topically, honey reduces inflammation and it’s also antibacterial; a dab of honey on a blemish or used as a mask can really work wonders to heal the skin and leave you with a naturally glowing and soothed complexion.
Yogurt: Cleopatra famously soaked in sour milk baths, emerging glowing and smooth – fast forward to current times, and yogurt is still giving us clear skin. Apply yogurt on the face and décolletage as a mask, remove with a warm cloth, and you will reap the skin benefits. Full of the exfoliating ingredient lactic acid, this is a powerhouse!
Apple Cider Vinegar: Perhaps one of the best things you can put in or on your body, is this powerful alkalizing product. When taken internally (I like this in my water first thing in the morning), it helps clear the skin, balance oil, disinfect and can help control weight. Used topically mixed with water, it helps with dandruff, sunburn, itchy skin and can be used as a clarifying hair rinse! (Note: get organic, raw apple cider vinegar with “the mother” included for best results).
Vitamin A: The healthy skin vitamin, Vitamin A, is one you’ll want to add into your routine both internally, and topically. The closest thing there is for to a natural cure for acne, Retin-A (retinol) is a prescription topical vitamin A cream that will keep the skin looking young, while clearing up blemishes by removing blocked pores and regulating oil production; it evens texture and plumps by increasing collagen and hyaluronic acid stores.
Taking Vitamin A orally (liquid form is best), has a slew of health benefits, but as it pertains to beauty, it slows aging skin, balances hormones and can erase symptoms of eczema, dry skin and dandruff.
Chia Seed: Chia seeds are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, with nearly five grams in a one-ounce serving. Fatty acids promote healthy, glowing skin and shiny hair and can calm psoriasis and other skin conditions. Add a two tbsp. to your morning smoothie or cereal! (Side note: omega’s are also a major mood booster, and have been proven to fight depression!).
